The Armoury is one of New Zealand's most experienced music recording facilities (formerly STL Audio) with over 10yrs of operation and over 2000 songs recorded, we've made hundreds of very happy artists, bands, managers and fans. You've most likely already heard something either recorded, mixed or mastered by us. Record at The Armoury - it's that simple.

The Armoury is a fully equipped professional music recording facility that integrates classic studio hardware with hi-definition computer based recording via Pro Tools HDX. We've recorded music of all genres from acoustic to brutal death metal, music has no boundaries so why should The Armoury.

The Armoury was designed and build in 2016 after 5years of planning. It's configured around a beautiful sounding live room, a central control room with a large vocal booth and 2 iso rooms, giving us the facility to record music live with line of sight throughout the studio.

The control room was designed and built without compromise for performance, which means accuracy beyond belief letting you relax and enjoy recording your music. It features the infamous SSL 4000G analog console. Ours is from Peter Gabriel's 'Real World' Studio and has recorded acts such as Radio Head, Amy Winehouse, & Deep Purple to name a few. This console is the most sought after console for recording and mixing, it's also mixed more number 1's than all other consoles combined! We love it and so will you, it really does make recording simple.

Add to that we have one of the most extensive gear lists in NZ, so you can use a vintage microphone or a sought after piece of hardware and add some vintage analog 'vibe' to your recording, not an emulation.

Our obsession and passion for sound runs in the walls and you'll find it contagious. We've created a studio sanctuary in the heart of the CBD like no other in New Zealand, so please email us and lets meet up and talk about your project.

Most importantly The Armoury provides the big professional studio feel and an affordable price.
